Ever wondered how does it feel when you reach office and you realize- Oh I m in my slippers!!!!
Yesterday , I faced the same situation and just to mind you my slippers are not at all fancy but as simple as a 'LAKHANI ' slipper could be, with white base and blue steps.:-)
And I realized that I'm wearing slippers as soon as I put in my first foot inside the campus. It was like god waiting for the right moment and suddenly there was an "akashwani"- vats aaj aap "khadau" mein aayi hain :-).
I cursed myself as much as I could, for such a perfect combination of attire, a completely formal dress matched with a pair of "lakhani slippers"
Anyways… nothing could be done now, I reached my place and thought of not getting up whole day from my desk. But that was next to impossible as you need to get up many times ;-).
Finally, it was our tea time and all were pinging me to get up and reach canteen. Ahhhhh a tough task to execute. Finally I decided who cares… nobody even bothers to look at me, so don't worry there is no one who would notice that you are wearing slippers….
But I was wrong, as soon as I started climbing stairs, and who all passed by were very keen to know what I have in my feet's!!!! Some gave a strange look, some smiled and some were confused as there face appeared blank to me. And some reacted as if I have done the greatest crime in this world.
Finally I landed in canteen, and one of them shouted- oyeye tere pair ko kya hua?tu chappal mein??.
I didn't had any answer, except to smile ….:-)
Keep Faith

Now this brought me back to that day long ago...... I was late that morning so I was in a mad rush to get to the office... made it but 30mins late. Ugh! So as I sat there staring at my memo on tardiness (the Personnel Dept is sure quick on the draw lols)... I sensed eyes also staring at me in the room! 'What??' I said. 'Do you know what day today is?' spoke my gf in the next cubicle. 'It's Thursday... and you have on the Friday uniform!' Geezzz!!! :-D

@ chakoli ...
i too had some "moments' when some years back i was in office and when i had to attend a meeting with my superior and collegues, suddenly i found that the button on my shirt was just not there ...
as the meeting went on ... i could notice the "looks" of the people around me ... as if to convey that "how can you be careless when you have such an important meeting today" ...
that is how it goes i guess ... just cannot help it ...
So funny!!
At least that proves to men that not all women love their shoes and obsess about them.
hahahah..you shd have just let them think u were creating a new fashion trend... :D

Strange, never had that experience but yeah I have my own style-
1. Messy hair: have got lot of comments for it , positive as well as negative
2. Informal dressing- I never tuck in my shirt, still remember my first day in office.
But going to office in slippers is out of my imagination :O
LOL!! cudnt help falling off my chair... :-D broken buttons, uncombed hair even a torn shirt (Courtsey Mumbai Locals) had been flavour of the day one or more times... but bathroom slippers lol that has to still come my way :-)anyways mistake done once is mistake do it some more time and it will become a fashion :-D
