Are You Still In Touch With your Roots?

When I stepped into Motherhood, within very first month at my native place as part of the tradition I was asked to worship a well and seek its blessings. Engineered by modern education and beliefs I simply smiled and shrugged it off – Why do I need to worship a well, that’s insane! My mother told me - As a well is full of water quenching thirst to many, in a similar manner, you ask well to fill your breasts with milk, so your kid is satisfied and never hungry.

A simple tradition and holds such an important message, but I was wired to ignore it! How many of us living in urban areas feel the same way? Globalization, technology and information that is now at fingertips, but aren’t we missing the human touch?

It is the tradition of spirituality that binds India together, not communities Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
  • How many of us can still smell the “saundhi khusbhoo” [sweet smell] of the earth after first rains? Not many, thanks to Air conditioned Offices.
  • How many of us would go on a vacation to their natives to celebrate the traditional festivals? Not many, thanks to trips to Malaysia, Maldives and Thailand being cheaper.
  • How many remember the upcoming festivals, unless it is under a holiday list in your Office or your kid’s school diary?
  • How many of us know how to cook traditional recipes for a specific festival?
  • How many of us prefer celebrating festivals that fall on the weekend?

One of my friend Sandeep [Changed on request] who loves travelling and is a blogger says – Urbanization has at one hand provided us with a lot of opportunities to explore, experiment and experience other traditions but on the flip side has distant us from our traditions and values. He continues, just for example at our place the first chapatti made is served to cow, now it’s hard to find a cow outside India or even in metros in India, where you can go and feed them. So you simply ignore it.

Another lady, a mom of five months old says – Nuclear family is one of the prime reasons of getting disconnected from the roots. Blame it too hectic work schedule [when earlier work used to end by 5 pm] that by the time people return home they are exhausted. We usually wait for “weekends” to do something different and unluckily our festivals not necessarily fall on the weekends. However, once you have a kid, you want to pass your traditions to them and maybe that’s when you get into celebration no matter what, as I am planning to dress my little as Krishna for upcoming Janamasthmi.

“A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and the soul of it's people – Mahatma Gandhi.”

Another girl in her twenties believes an elderly at home can make a lot of difference in how we value our traditions. She says – When my parents are at home, I feel like someone’s waiting at home. And as you knock the door, the incense sticks fragrance and the fresh lemon rice aroma connect you more deeply. We may be busy with our busy schedule, but the oldies still have a lot of time, and they make sure that even we are connected. With parents and in-laws at home, it is said the house is blessed!

We could site ‘n’ number of lame excuses or obligation to drift away from our roots, but is it not our choice of living? We choose to apply an antiseptic rather than turmeric, we choose to wean away a kid from mother’s milk because she has to return to work, we choose to be guided by others rather than our instincts, we choose ….

A Quick guide to people Looking For Work From Home,Part-Time,freelancer, returning-professionals job opportunities.

When I decided to sail alone, i.e. to start off as a freelancer after a decade of full-time employment, I wasn't sure if I would be able to get help. But I was determined to get a decent project that pays me decent and allows me to be a mother, and freelancing was the best bet!

I started with naukri.com, but not much was offered to me, I tried linkedin, glassdoor, freelancer.in , elance, odesk but it felt like I had to learn to swim along with sharks! And, in fact I'm not a great swimmer! I like to sail at my pace, on my conditions :D

So here is a quick guide for people looking to jump onto work from home, part-time or freelancing opportunities.

  1. Pick Your Core Area - There are multiple types of job profile available, do not just pick one because you are being offered that, you decide what you want to do - Data Entry, Mystery Shopping, Content Writing, Recruiting, Testing, Mobile App Development and any such fields like this.
  2. Get a demo project ready - The difficult part  with such kind of opportunities is that people judge you by what you have done, so if you have a good experience then that would speak, but if you are just starting off, make sure to have a demo project ready and published on www. You could use any of the free tools like word press/blogger to showcase that.
  3. Decide on your rate card - Most of the project owners would like to get the best quality work in minimum price. So do not go with what is offered, of course that again differs with you being a beginner or  a pro in the field. So if possible do some market research and know whats the market rate offered for your expertise.  You could register on these sites like freelancer.in, odesk, elance to get a rough idea. Or connect via linkedin and talk to people who are already working in this area.
  4. Shortlist and research on companies who could hire you - Just for example if you are good in mobile app development, look out for companies who work in this domain and send them a proposal they cant refuse!
  5. Be Patient - The last point is the most vital and important one, you would not get a good opportunity overnight so you need to be patient and keep trying! You know - there is just one opportunity waiting just for YOU.
I personally tried "n" number of websites to get an opportunity for myself, here are the sites I tried myself and my opinion about them -
  1. naukri.com - You may get calls through this , but clearly mention in the summary that you are looking for a work from home, part-time or freelancing opportunity. Applying to the jobs displayed on naukri.com may not help, and its sheer waste of time.
  2. timesjobs.com, shine.com, monsterindia.com - They are not much of any help! I personally did not get much calls through these sites.
  3. freelancer.in, odesk, elance  - These sites are good and you may get lucky [ I wasn't] , but I would not recommend these sites to beginners as the bidding strategy make you feel demotivated. When you see there are already "x" applicants for this project, you are bound to shake a bit. So if possible stay far from these sites.
  4. sheroes.in - The site exclusively for women [ however even men can register] is like a genie to me. It has given me so many projects till date that I should be really grateful to them. You should definitely try it out.
  5. hersecondinnings.com - Again a site exclusive for women, did helped me in getting couple of projects.
  6. doparttime.com - Although their domain exclusively say "doparttime" but I hardly found opportunities on this site.
  7. gharsenaukri.com - Not much of help to me. But they have projects to explore out.
  8. workflexi.in - I guess this venture has just started as there are many issues with the website, but you may try.
  9. craiglist uk and la and other cities - craiglist also is a good option to explore global opportunities, however not all people entertain other country applicants, hence you need to be clear and patient enough with this.
  10. linkedin - Mentioning clearly on your profile that you are looking for a freelancing/part-time opportunities does help.
Hope the guide helps you to get work done. Feel free to post comments/feedback on the post.

5 Reasons why you should NOT travel

Did you just made an excuse to your boss that you won’t be able to travel as you got a medical emergency? You are the person who keeps on postponing the family vacation to a Hill station with a simple excuse that your boss is not sanctioning leaves. Are you the one who loves to spend his vacation on his favorite couch with TV remote, maggi and lots of tea?

IF you answered a yes to even one question above, you are not alone! There are many like you, and the best part is they have the weirdest excuse just to avoid travel.

And if you are still wondering whether you fall into a category of wanderlust or a motionless nerd! We give you top five reasons that may conclude you love immobility, Are you ready? Let’s get started –

My Home is Safest Place on Earth!

What if I travel and the plane gets crashed or hijacked, a cruise may get stranded on a deserted island or hit by pirates. And journey via road - Do you know how many people die each year because of road accidents? What if my hotel room is attacked and all my valuables are stolen. I get mugged on that stranger land. Gosh! I can’t travel, it seems so risky.
My home sweet home is just the most secure place on earth!

I love Pampering!

The idea of weekend spending and vacation time for me is to book an appointment in a spa and just drench in aromas and positivity. It’s so much fun!

My Window Seat

The sea-facing window or the garden-facing window is my favorite spot. Boarding the window seat with a cup of ginger tea gives me a kick early morning and in the evening warding off all my stress. And if I miss that “me time” I feel void in my life.

Packing and Unpacking

Travelling causes stress to me!
First before travelling plan and pack your bags, which usually starts almost one-two weeks earlier as that includes shopping and then once you back again unpack the stuff. Gosh!! It feels like the travel time was for a whole month rather than a couple of days.
Why stress yourself so much? Go shopping relax and unwind!

The Motion Issue

Well, it’s both types of motion the one on the road that causes sickness and the other one in the bathroom which causes worst of trouble!
With travel, you indulge in junk food causing constipation and then the issue of getting pressure at the “right time” just because the sightseeing guy would arrive at Sharp 8:00 clocks.
Is this vacation planned for fun or to torture me?
I’ll prefer staying at home and wait for the pressure jiggy to happen.

So did you find your reason of being termed as non-traveler?

Some people have wanderlust and some like to search out the essence of life at same place, all acceptable and pretty normal. It’s just about the rhythm of going with the flow. So what’s your reason of not travelling?

Work Life Balance - a FANTASY or REALITY!

The buzz of work-life balance is all over, companies taking initiatives , offering facilities and yet we have people who are suffering from High Blood Pressure or Cholesterol or even heart ailments at any early age. Is it just the propaganda or actually people are serious about it.

What is Work-Life Balance

To define the term, it is as simple as that you are able to equally divide your life time and  spend time with family and friends ,get some quality time for yourselves ,be in good health, able to meet all your family expectations, complete your household pending tasks but still be a star performer in your company. Yes , I know you are smiling because this is the "ideal case" which seems to be non existing.

So then work-life balance is just a fantasy. isn't?

How much time actually we have after office hours

Why do you need  work-life balance because although companies mention that its just 40-45 hrs of working a week so rest of the time[80-75 hrs for five days a week + weekend] is at your disposal and the luxury to use it however you want, then why so much fuss what work-life balance?

Even if we simply reduce the 45 hrs of working , then we are left with 75+48=123 hrs but we are missing here some of the points -

  1. Sleep Time - No matter what, you need an average of 8 hrs sleep per day, but I know you are a busy person so lets reduce it to 7 hrs a day. Lets do some math now , for a week you need 7*7 = 49 hrs of sleep. So now you have remaining hrs left 123-49 = 74 hrs at your disposal, unless you cut down further on your sleep.
  2. Commute Time - Most of offices are located in the middle of the city and people usually have their homes at other corners leading to an increase in commute time. This time although you are not working or doing your household work but is crucial . There were many reports and studies done, which clearly says that commute time affects the well being of the person and in fact a study conducted by the thisismoney says that on an average human spend 200 hrs a year in just commuting. So lets do some math again so on an average for each month we spend ~17 [200/12 months]hrs and for each week ~4.25 hrs[17/4 weeks]. So we are left with 74-4.25 hrs = 69.75 hrs
  3. Routine work - Now you obviously need time for your frequent bathroom breaks which includes, shower, shaving, hygienic stuff. Again the studies shows we spent on an average 182 hrs per year in bathroom. That's huge!!Again some math , so for each month ~15 hrs and for each week ~4 hrs . So we are left with 69.75 - 4.00 = 65.75 hrs every week.
  4. Eating Time - Now that's also necessary, as we are working to feed our hungry tummy. And studies revealed that an average American spend around ~1 hr each day in eating[all meals included] so for a week it should be 7 hrs , then we are left with 65.75-7 = 58.75 hrs
  5. Other miscellaneous activities - There are other activities which are really like routine stuff , but really necessary to do like waiting for elevator, waiting to board a train, waiting time to cross the road, parking your car and list could go on so lets assume an hr daily for such activities , so for a week 7 hrs of misc activities and now we are left with 58.75 - 7 = 51.75 hrs.
  6. Office hours Overlap with other geographies - As the work has been outsourced , we are well aware that we need to adjust our timings so that we interact with them. That would definitely lead to more office hours or if you are at home taking call from from there but that's the important part of our planning . So may be on an average 5 hours of overlap is needed . So we are left with 51.75-5 = 46.75 hrs. Lets round it to 46 hrs.
So we now have the number , that we only have 46 hrs each week for our disposal to be spent on family, your gym time, sports, social networking ,talking over phone and of course overtime for office work.

So then is it really possible to attain a balance?

Just check it for yourself!

Time Spent in Bathroom is directly proportional to how Smart your phone is!!!

To many of us, frequent break to bathroom is considered to be a redundant task leading to no gain. But with invention of smartphones, bathroom time is now turning to be more productive time.

Yesterday, during chit-chatting with my friend , she narrated an incident about her spouse, he wakes up and first thing he does is picking up his smartphone

The Truth About Deals Floating Online!!

Online Shopping is making so much noise these days. Economic Times is actually filled with most of the news from the leading online eCommerce websites - Amazon, Flipkart, Jabong just to name a few or at-least one editorial which describes pros or cons about the same.

Today I read that IT managers are actually disliking the online shopping as people tend to spend most of their time on booking something or if package is delivered , go to the wash room and try it out which impacts the so called "productivity" [ Now, I'm completely against it, earlier they were against social networking sites and now online shopping, trust me if you ban these sites or if they are already under restricted list on company policy ban cellphones to office, employees are much smarter and  would find an alternate way to kill it, I can write another post on that so lets first concentrate on my deals stuff] :P

My BIL aka Android Baba [ trust me he is saviour for us] shared couple of links to make online shopping easier, among that one is BuyHatke.

This tool is actually brilliant, it basically takes the price of each item and embeds the graphs on the website you are browsing, and also applies their analytics to predict if you should go ahead and buy this within 2-3 days, within a week or say another month , basically probability of the item getting cheaper in future.

Once you install the buyhatke tool, as soon as you open an item the graphs and other deals would be seen on same page at the bottom .

So Amazon sale started today, I picked up couple of items which were listed under Deals section

  • Micromax Canvas A1 with Android One (Magnetic Black)  : They are claiming that we are getting 13 % off , but if we see the graph there is hardly any price change since 16 Sep 2014, if we talk about offers they are trying to sell with this mobile then the memory card they are quoting is already discounted to 250 /- and Screen Guard is 59 /-, so then just calculate how effective is the deal????

  • Lavie Women's Satchel (Tan) : they are claiming that buyers would effectively be getting a discount of 45 % but if you see the graph, the price is actually increased :))) and no discount is offered. So where is the deal???????????

The above items where just two examples taken that ideally there is no such thing as deal and consumer should know before buying anything .

And my personal experience has been that the analytic of buyhatke do work, we were looking for an item on amazon, and the tool suggested to wait for a week and we did and price were actually reduced [ May be we just got lucky ;)] but the price graph is a brilliant thing and one con of this tool is that they don't collect meta data, so if price is reduced /increased in an hour that wont be reflected in the graph.

Be wise in choosing :)))

Door Bell

How many of us love door bells, I have no clue, but when I'm inside my house, I hate door-bells :P. Trust me, as now I'm in the "home maker " mode, door bell are the vamps/villain [ not sure which gender it would be , going with hindi...  à¤˜ंटी बजी  ... its feminine , but घंटा बजा is masculine, so confused!!] of our lives.

When we bought this house, we chose the mildest of door bell, which at times is not audible to us as well, if we are in the corner most bathroom, or in deep sleep and fan is running at full speed. Ok so that was the secret, outside people don't know about it, hence they need to assume that our door bell is in working condition.

Now, again talking about my home maker mode , my inability to go out and purchase stuff [ or rather my laziness to get ready and along with it, dress up the kid as well, and go and purchase stuff, ] I buy all my stuff online, not online actually, near to our apartments there are those local shops , who also deliver to home once you order them on phone, so its basically home delivery. And when I say "All" its ALL... from grocery to medicines to ice creams to outside food... I mean everything :D

So with home deliveries, every now and then door bell rings, ok I ordered it so I should not complain about it, but the worst thing is as we have the mildest sound, once the outsider press the button he expects that even he would listen to the bell sound, but it doesn't happen and so he presses it again and again... and finally after third attempt when he is still unable to hear, he starts knocking... bang bang...phew!!!

I actually have forgotten the count , as how many times I scolded the delivery guy... -कितनी बार घंटी बाजोगे ..grrrrrrrrrrr...but it doesn't help, because every time the delivery guy changes :P. But I still keep my spirits alive and continue scolding ;-). That's determination !!!

I'll reiterate this again, being a home maker is not an easy job... door bell, phone bell, cooker ki seeti, baache ka rona, my favorite tv serial, padosan ki gossip, maid ka rona, doodh wale ki jhik jhik.... and the list could go on................

Whatever... just ENJOYING!!!

The Art Of Burping!!

So, the other day when "he and me" were discussing on burping, he shared how his grandmother used to take loudest possible burp with sounds followed by hari om!!And, if I recollect even in my family I did heard those sounds after any meal!

And I said - I guess we are used to that kind of sound. Its now that we stepped out of our homes and know all these etiquette and manners that we try to reduce our sound and in a controlled manner , otherwise even we would have been one of those who makes the loudest possible sounds audible atleast 10 ft :).

I always appreciate "God" for his engineering and again with the burping art I got another chance to appreciate him once again. I mean what a science... the air you swallow while eating , is trying to escape and hence we burp!!

As a kid when I used to drink limca... which is still one of my fav soft drink , I remember my Einstein bro told me a strategy to let that gas escape... open your mouth and nose and let it go!! After every drink, when I was about to burp I used to open my mouth wide and nostrils much wider [atleast I tried] so that all gas can escape at one go but no luck :)

I googled about burping, and found that even this has a world record of longest burp being some one minute and x secs..Oh Boy!! How could you burp for so looong and that tooo in a planned manner , my imagination is not going that beyond so I'll leave the world record.

But as a matter of fact "the more you burp the less you fart" ;) now that's easy gas has to escape from somewhere... it all depends which system of your body is working hard for you :P

So how do you burp? The loudest possible ..or you let it go as light as feather ..

I feel , the "way" is not important... more than following the principle of letting it gooooooooooooooo.....

Roti,Kapda,Makaan Aur Google!!

Now I have to agree to that , Google is the basic necessity of life. Trust me.. I can't think of any answers [right or wrong]myself. Its always like  Google kar lo!!

Few days back I was reading this somewhere on net, that a Microsoft was presenting something and he narrated

So for instance you are on net and you would like to search something you would goooooo...... and then he paused and said bing it!! You'll bing it!!
Don't  remember what was mentioned about the audience if they smiled or not but search has  a new synonym I guess and that's GOOGLE.

But when you type in "Google" on any of the browser ... IE,Chrome,Mozilla ... you just get the list of Google and its extended apps. At least on Bing when you type Google, they do return Wikipedia page[ courtesy to the rivals] but what about the "good words" being posted about Google on net. Do they actually care/acknowledge them?  Like this post when I'm declaring Google as  a basic necessity .. Do they really care!!!

But there is other side of story as well, we use Google so often and how many of us are actually thankful to them? Ahhhh... chicken and egg story :)

Services!!

After my diwali's loooong vacation when we were back in hyderabad , just within a week's time that day of month came - I mean the last day to recharge your TV.

I was happy in a way coz for paper, electricity, milk, telephone - the money was reduced. We didnt used it and so just pay for how much you used. But for TV, I still need to pay full amount else these people will apply some late charges and can also disconnect.(we have DishTV and honestly the crappiest and worst of all)

But what about those 20 days, when I didnt used your services, why I need to pay for that? And I thought about it, one arguement to that could be as they dont have proper mechanism to detect if services have run for that day, but then how do come up with TRP ratings, that means they know who is watching which soap/film and at what time so that could be some enhancement to that existing one and moreover if it didnt fit to our requirement I'm sure something new can be invented.

But as a consumer I really feel , if not used for that day, we shoulnt be paying for it.

What say guys?

The Art Of Presenting Flowers!

As a kid, I always used to envy my friends who used to bring roses as a gift to teachers. Red, big roses and me poor girl was not allowed to "waste" the gardening effort onto them. They look better in our garden were usually the words from my mom, which indeed was true! As soon as you see roses it used to give you that positive feeling which can't be narrated in words. Mehsoos karo :)  [feel it]

Anyways, that was the way I knew that roses could be used, until I came to college and then with v-day, friendship day, this day ,that day roses were linked and that too a a particular rose was linked. Red for v-day, yellow for friendship day  and other color I still have no clue!!

Another fact which I came to know when I started working and was in one of the metro city that apart from roses there are some flowers which could be used for gifting and again colour and type has there own code base -a primrose means "Can't live without you" , purple hyacinth is coded with "Please forgive me" and pink carnation - " You would always be in my memories".

Recently, when I was at book store, I actually saw a book with name "The language of Flowers" and it had meaning of each and every flower , and if its tied with a lace, with a ribbon, whats the number of roses being presented and what it would mean. Ahhhh....

So much in the world of flowers... and still so much to learn!

No matter which flower it is and whether it is gifted or not, seeing a bouquet or garden full of flowers the feeling is AWESOME! Mehsoos Karo... [feel it]

Something To Share!

Just found this while reading some article on net and loved it.. so sharing with you guys

This is written in the Hebrew Talmud, the book where all of the sayings and preaching of Rabbis are conserved over time.It says:
"Be very careful if you make a woman
cry, because God counts her tears. The woman
came out of a man's rib. Not from his feet to be
walked on. Not from his head to be superior, but
from the side to be equal. Under the arm to be
protected, and next to the heart to be loved."

Aamir - Trying to Bring Change Within!

The most hyped topic which I have seen in last two weeks is Aamir Khan and his new show!!

Critics, and supporters people are ought to cover his every move, which direction is he heading? Why is he doing? Some stardom trick? To promote his any new film?

Be it TV or any weekly magazine, there is at least one cover story on him!! Is he turning into a journalist? Is he full time into social activities? Questions... well more than that!!

Whats new about this show? Why are you thinking it has hit the masses?

What I believe that when a hero, a public figure (especially Bollywood Heroes) if they know they have fan following and try to do things which can in a way lead to a good cause. It should be the best way!

Why are public figures picked up as the Brand ambassador for some product ? Coz, they can leave an impression on general public. They can change the mind of what people think.

Do you believe if Rakhi Sawant is replaced with Aamir Khan in this show. Would it be a success? No offense to her but yes, people do believe in public heroes. Or even if I take his place, how many of us would actually listen? Who is she? Just one another show on crappy things! But yes, people (and I include myself) watch it because of Aamir Khan and no one else.

I m sure he is not trying to take out dharnas and shanti yatra protest , but he is trying to change people. female foeticide  if happens remain within the family and no one other than one the family member has to raise voice against it.How would they? Until and unless people are not made aware they wont learn it. It's journey within.

When I stop at red light and only move when green is ON , or I make it a point not to litter at public places , it is more of a change that I want and so I started that. I cant force anybody to do that. But just a small change within.

And so what if he is trying the same!!

The Fight For Survival!

I don’t know what made these guys (Murugan alias Sriharan, Santhan and Perarivalan alias Arivu)  to join the LTTE and then plan for Rajiv Gandhi assassinations. But I’m sure it would have been there fight for survival.

What I heard/read from the articles is usually how the youngsters are taken up and trained promising them of the bright future and if that doesn’t work make them believe that there life has a purpose ,getting  FREEDOM !!!From what ? Still to figure out!
After 11 years when the mercy plea got rejected, the new tantrum evolves! How to survive? Again the permutation was done and Mr Ram Jethmalani came up with the new plea !!
Flash Back – eleven years , one of these three guys in jail – four walls – waiting each day to get the answer. The struggle , would they live or not? Each day in trauma and don’t know till when. But maybe they knew it would happen.  They knew, they gonna die (well everybody knows that) but like this?
Death at one go or days of suffering and then comes the relief!

Life Imprisonment or Death, my opinion doesn’t matters here, but all I could see is the fight for survival.

Internet Explorer users "have a lower IQ"

 Could you beat this guys?

If you have a low IQ then there are high chances that you use Internet Explorer

Well, In my earlier companies we were never allowed to download/install any other browser than IE which comes as default with Office PC I feel. So was it that my IQ level was less?

Well, its more of personal choice is what I feel?

Personally Gmail  and office login I do on chrome, blogger I open on Firefox (as they have an option of inserting smiley’s) and government sites like irctc and eseva I open on explorer! So Where Is stand?

I personally feel these type of surveys don’t serve any purpose! Well, what they can do?

How many of us would switch from IE to Chrome/Firefox to increase their IQ level?

This is called total “vellapanti” doing nothing and creating news!

Just as I did ;)

Thanks To FlipKart

In this cruel world, where getting something in  return of money is not guaranteed, how can one expect of the service.

But well, Flipkart did impressed me, you remember I posted a review of a Book “Few Things Left Unsaid” where I did mentioned that there are some pages jumbled up.

The very same day I posted a complain to there site and what a quick and positive response saying that
" they would arrange for a replacement and apologies for the inconvenience".

After about 4 days when I didn’t received any confirmation of when the book would be replaced or the whereabouts, I got another mail saying that

Apologies for the delay, and somehow it is taking a bit longer to arrange for a book. They would inform me as soon as they get a good quality book.
And before the completion of eight days, they delivered me the same book at my doorstep.

I was discussing this with my hubby , and comparing the same scenario to any bookstore like crossword,Walden,Odysessy . First thing again I have to go back to the shop to get it replaced and second once it is available I have to go again to collect it.

Another thing, just a mail and they agreed for a replacement what if I was just interested in getting another copy of it? They simply replaced it without taking back my original Copy. Had it been a bookstore as a proof you need to take your original one, show them the proof and ask for replacement.

Well, really a BIG THANKS and just that you guys a doing a great job!

Breaking News- Benefits!

Well, nothing much is happening after that Ramdev –UPA drama and now that I’m just so irritated by his face that its better I don’t talk about it.

But then our lunch session get boring. Well, we need to have some “breaking news” to criticize, discuss, argue, and blame others then only food gets digested otherwise  it remains undigested and then we (read it as IT people) need to walk after lunch which is against our work culture.

Our work culture is well defined .You are just made to “Sit & Stare” .

Okay leave IT people, they are “good for nothing” …. I was talking about my lunch sessions so as there was no topic to discuss we were eating… in fact swallowing, when we have some breaking news we can do “jugali” what cow and buffaloes do, so food gets digested easily and then we can work towards our aim… i.e. Sit & Stare.

Another reason is when you have breaking news you put in all your frustration/anger in criticizing  or finding flaws in it . ( Well we IT people can hardly appreciate anything ) and so you vent out all your negative feeling which gives you more positive enrgy and then that’s the reason just after lunch you feel sleepy. So relaxed you are. You just need a bed. Isn’t?

Breaking News .... We are missing you!

Daily Logic!

Every cream/facewash/facepack/shampoo/conditioner I have seen they have one thing common

For better results follow by “same company” cleanser, toning milk, moisturizer, facepack.

I really don’t know, if it really makes sense , but I feel its more of marketing gimmick

How does the skin knows if its jovees/Loreal/Fair & Lovely/Garnier/Lotus? Irrespective of the company it has to do its work isn’t?

Being into IT industry and surrounded by codes, I really wonder if they have programmed there products that way. Just for instance  if you have taken jovees face pack , the instructions would say

For better results first cleanse your face with jovees cleanser and then apply the facepack.

So the logic would work like this
If cleanser = jovees
Facepack result = AWESOME!

Else
“Keep on wasting money I wont work!

Hear the Sounds!

You are in office  and you get a call, after the matter of discussion  there is a question

Where are you?

To which you reply – in office? Where else ?

No actually your voice is echoing ….

Grrrrrrr…
Man,  yes I was in washroom , can’t you make out? Just think logically …

Office is so much open space , and when the voice echoes that’s means you are surrounded by four walls and what all places in office could be that?
  • Cabin/Conference Room :  The option is ruled out because there motive is to “converse”
  • Lifts : In most of the lifts in India mobile network doesn’t work so it is ruled out
Whats left?
  • Washroom : That’s the place man!

And other misconception is when you(preferably male) are at coffee vending machine  and the listener reacts to the sound as you are in washroom  busy relaxing your bladder
