Fancy Dress Competition

Whenever you clear up your wardrobe, you are sure to find something good :).

Just one day back, and I got my album, and while turning its pages I found myself dressed in a “lehnga” with a proper “ghoonghat” and my age might be around 4 years. What I was doing then? It was a Fancy Dress Competition!!! I remember, my nose ring was pinching me and I cried before actually going on stage for the pain and face on the photo was conveying the same story. Don’t know what judges inferred from it? Might be a vidai scene of dulhan that I got a first prize . LOL….
This reminded me of the first fancy dress participation by me where I was “Kishan Kanhiya” and I was not going on stage so my sweet maama had to stand just beside me on stage.

Then came the next pic, where I was butterfly, with blue wings and blue frill wala frock I sang loudly “Titli uddi udati chali….phoolan ne kaha aaja mere pass..” But Didn’t got anything for this :D
Then just one year later, my aunt came with a unique idea of framing me on stage as “Negative”. I was dressed all black and mouth painted white. Many people thought of it as “bhoot” and not negative and such a creative idea went away in vain

May be I’m not in touch with kids now, or may be that I m quite right, but haven’t seen or heard about the fancy dress competition.

What today’s trend is theme party, which are quite similar to Fancy Dress but not a competition? Whatever, somehow I don’t like them. No specific reason but just don’t like them :(

I’m still biased to kids in different dresses and masks and colours…..

Desperation…

Listing some very “urgent” things and quite embarrassing…

• When suddenly you realize you are too thirsty and didn’t had even a single drop of water since last 5-6 hours and one “dumbo” is busy telling his tale to you…
• When your tummy is producing unique, loud and audible sounds signaling that you are hungry.
• When you want to empty your bladder and one “idiot” is busy discussing your plans about tomorrow in a team meeting.
• When you are having a gastric problem and in the middle of a presentation you have an urgent need to get rid of it with “sound”

May be you guys could add more to these. Let me see some more of “ critical” situations.

Boss and Bells!!!

We all work, mmmmmmhhh no correction needed, only some of us work and rest just let others to do work!!! Isn’t? :d

Now as we work, we all have Boss, yup some lucky ones could be there own boss!!!But still I would say, 75 % people have BOSS and also 60% have Bad bosses. Agreed? :D

Now, In IT sector or by that means any sector, nobody is willing to have there boss around. When BOSS is on leave, its usually yipppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for us. We feel relax, we could continue our gossip sessions, we don’t want to update anyone!!! In IT sector, we all have a common problem that PC should never be placed in a position where it could be viewed by BOSS!!!!! That’s the most disgusting, humiliating, irritating thing in an employees life. :#

Yesterday one of my colleague who is one of the victims of BOSS viewing, shared her trauma . How all of a sudden , he knocks out of his cabin and she has to hurriedly minimize all other window, which certainly is of no use :( . Then she suggested that “cow bell” could be hanged on his door, whenever he pops out the sound could “warn her” . :O

Nice way na… so all bosses carry a “cow bell”… :~

Partial - Are you?

We all have a bit of partial nature, we are biased, from a group of people be it be our friends, strangers, relatives or even animals we are sure to like some and dislike some. The discretion could be on the basis of looks, habits, attire, voice, or anything.

This general rule applies to every damn thing in this world, be it colour be it costumes, be it caller tunes, be it brand, be it company, and be it actor/actress. I heard this somewhere that it is impossible for parents to be partial to there own kids but still many a times kids feel that. Don't know how true it is , as a teenager even I used to feel it . :(

A kid when goes out to play with neighborhood kids , he 's exposed to all but now it depends on his choice whom he would choose. The traits that he could choose at such a tender age are someone who is just ready to play with him. He may get friendly with a pickpocket.If the same new friend asks the kid to steal a pencil for him, he would just say yes and would do it.He may get friendly with a bossy kid, and in turn may end being a bully himself.choices and being partial towardssomething, though may be triggered by your core, the inner you , not necessarily any external factor. So in the above scenario the Kid may be partial towards right things and so no to stealing or bullying , and may not even hang around with such kids..

So what does your core tell you to do ., being partial to me .. ;-)

Laughter

Just read this :

Children laugh 400 times per day, as opposed to adults, who only laugh 15 times per day.

Any parent who experienced this?I agree, kids laugh at the weirdest things. And also believe that laughter is part of their cognitive development. Moreover, I think kids who tell and listen to jokes are learning about language, connections, and irony. Those who have a well-developeds sense of humor have a better outlook on life and an easier time interacting with their peers. Isn't?

Another thing I read :

Women laugh more than men: about 126% more.

So who's left?Kids laugh, women laugh and is it that Men are laugh getters!!!!!lol :O . It could be , if you think back to the class clown in elementary or middle school, it was a boy. Isn't? ;)

So, What makes women the laughers and men the comedians? :d That question is still up in the air. Or is it that women laugh many a times on silly things and men just to impress women keep making fun of themselves. whatever...may be the science of laughter could digg out somehting and gives us an answer.

Just imagine a couple or be it any relation in that matter, even brothers and sisters if for ages they just keep on complimenting/complaining how boring, dull, unexciting life it would be.
And so to spice up your life... tease each other I mean a bit of "chedkhani".

Your oldest memory : Oldest LOL…. . I don’t know, which one is the oldest as I remember many things of my childhood . People say that my memory is good , and as soon as I was born I started writing up my diary ;) .So I’ll just take up here what I like the most…
We (read it as 4 children) were playing on a terrace of a building which didn’t have any boundary wall. I was the youngest. Don’t know what happened to my mind but it ordered me to have a look at the road as how it looks from 4th floor. As a loyal slave, I was right there on the edge, with just a foot resting on floor other one was in air and I was looking downwards. When some guy actually screamed to tell my uncle that I might commit suicide and he should save me. Now suddenly, all crowd was looking upwards, some unfolded bed sheets, some unfolded there arms just in case I jump, they could save me. Now I was more curious, as why people are standing like this and staring towards me? I bent more……. :D
What next?

Eyes Eyes Baby

Walking downtown on a weekend just simply dressed. Light pink capris, tank top, not so high heeled laced shoes and no make-up. Looking smart for sure, but definitely not dressed to kill. :d

On the street he meets some young love birds both in their mid-twenties from their looks. As he approaches them just wishing if he could get a chance to tell them how beautiful they look together. After passing them, he looks back just to find the guy staring at him. He simply smile and go on with his business but just when he is done with his shopping, His eyes again capture even more cute couple but the same weird scenario of the 'ogling eye' happens.
Amazingly, these scenarios are way too common. And nobody even reacts to it until and unless you are 'single'.
But,It's so obvious that no one would be pleased to see her man admiring another lady and vice versa. Why don't you just look what's before you and avoid the looking back?

The common answer we get is :

“The fact that we look doesn’t mean we want them". :D

"Beauty is there to be appreciated and we are just doing that” :O

But I wonder, why would a man in the company of a beautiful lady be ogling? Talking about that look which seems to say, "Damn, if only I could have her". Is it natural or some men's eyes are just ravenous? :#

Oooooooohhh lalalalallaaaaaaaaaaa....

Just back to office after a long weekend, Nopes My Company didn’t give me an opportunity to celebrate “Rainy Day” but I took Monday off at an expense of my Casual Leave. :$

Apart from Saturday, when I saw Singh is Kinng and met one of my friends after long time, the other two days just went off. :)

Nope I didn’t read a book, :d I didn’t watched television, I didn’t cook, I wasn’t roaming , I wasn’t sleeping :s , actually I wasn’t doing anything. :v Even my lappy is not well nowadays so surfing, chatting was also not an option. :( From Sunday morning, the only constant thing was my headache and the only thing changing was my posture on bed. :O

How boring and dull a person could be, I realized!! But somehow I wasn’t bored at all. I was enjoying just lazing around and busy changing my postures . :D
On Monday, my mind was not sure to go or not to go, to make a decision was tough, then I put in all hope to my horoscope, if anywhere a word "REST" appears I wont be going. Hiy-laaaaa... "Take Rest" were the lines.

Even today I didn’t feel like coming to office, but then a HAPPY THOUGHT crawled into my mind, that as Friday (15th Aug) is a holiday I just need to come to office for another 3 days. So, better to pack up myself…. :~

Just Timepass!!

Yesterday I had a horrifying dream ….

The mob which includes me is fighting with some other group, we are on cycles are running running and running. Suddenly my mobile slipped and went straight to the “gutter”. Yucks!!!

Am I struck with Nomophobia? :#

Now instead of running for my life, I was more desperate to save my mobile. No not because it’s my favorite Sony Ericsson brand and not because it’s too costly, but …..

Dreams are individual's private property and are not to be disclosed!!! :O

But ending was superb !!! Then my HERO(in dreams..) , he appeared straight from the sky… jumped into that gutter to save my moby (I mean mobile) and when he came out, eeeehhhhh was smelling horribly. :(

Pictures or Words?

What you see fits more easily in your brain then what you read in words?

But many a times, the pictures don’t convey a meaning!! Especially to Martians ;-) who need everything to be mentioned explicitly in words.
No I don’t want.
Yes I’m angry with you.

And many more. They would prefer putting words to a picture just for the sake that they don’t hang it upside down . ;-) lol :O

Okie, coming back to, what I had in my mind. It is difficult to stick to just one thing. People say pictures conveys more meaning , I agree but words are more flowing. !!!

Just for eg, amoeba , it would be difficult to tell what shape amoeba is, as it could attain any shape , you come out with a picture to class 7th standard student and he could understand it but you need to mention in words that it has a tendency of taking any shape.

A first proposal is special to a gal not because she is being gifted by cards roses and gifts but the words which made her feel special. And even after 25 years she could remember them.

A certificate of appreciation is in words but while grapping it the picture clicked by someone is more appealing and even with this techy world you could send it to million of users saying you grabbed a Nobel prize for lying ;-)

All compliments are given in words….

That’s why I count on words… How about you?

Nomophobia

I’m not sure how many of them are aware of this, but just saw this yesterday on V [I]Q. The question was :

What is nomophobia(even MS Word is showing it in red saying it needs a spell check ;-))?

And people came up with weird answers …

• A type of computer virus..
  

The answer is, It is the fear of being out of mobile phone contact - and it's the plague of our 24/7 age.
